The Soundtrack of the Top Gun Motion picture (including Kelly McGillis)

The compilation's chart hits (including Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" and Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone") continue to label the pompous, overdramatic music that dwarfed the music charts of the epoch. TOP GUN is the CD from the Motion picture of the same name featuring Val Kilmer, created in 1986 by Music Giant Sony. The up-to-date liner booklets prominently display material from an interview with noted producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Bryan Adams was approached to grant his composition "Only the Strong Survive" on the Background Music, though he declined as he felt the motion picture praised warlike confrontation and he didn't want one of his pieces associated to it. "Take my Breath away" was composed by the songwriting squad of Giorgio Moroder and Tom Whitlock, who also wrote Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone" and "Meet Me Halfway" for the Blockbuster "Over The Top".
