The lead singer of the "Berlin", Terri Nunn appeared in a number of films in the late seventies, and a little-known fact is that she even auditioned for the part of Princess Leia in "Star Wars". Very recently the TOPGUN Background Music has been rereleased in a Different Special Edition with extra bonus tracks included. Artist Jessica Simpson has treasured the refrain "Take my Breath away" since she first heard it, and made sure it was playing the first time she kissed Nick Lachey, who became her significant other. Driven by the aptitude of its various smash hit songs (including Destination Unknown by Marietta), the *Top Gun* CD instantly developed into a pop compositions phenomenon in its own right, and remains one of the best-selling movie soundtracks of all time. The newly revised version contains new liner notes by David Wilde of Rolling Stone Magazine and snapshots, and now features bonus bonus songs. The Top Gun collection today holds a firm spot in the charts as it has come to be a tremendously familiar assemblage of music.
