The track "Take my Breath away" won an Oscar for Best Original Song. Artist Jessica Simpson recorded "Take my Breath away" again in 04 and featured it on the re-release of her compilation "In This Skin". TOPGUN is the Background Music from the Blockbuster of the same name starring Artist and Producer Tom Cruise, produced in eightysix by Sony Music Worldwide. The compilation's top hits (including Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" and Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone") still explain the pompous, theatrical music that towered over the single charts of the period. The 99 updated edition on Columbia/Legacy added 5 plus new tracks: Otis Redding's "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay," the Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire," a dance mix of Kenny Loggins' "Playing With the Boys," and an instrumental by Harold Faltermeyer, who composed the movie's main theme tune.
